cloudy brown pour, nose of sour grapes , and a touch of chocolate. Flavour is sour, and tart, some nice grape notes witha touch of sour apple, not much chocolate though.........everything else seems to overpower it. interesting...........

Picked up two years ago on the Switzerland trip. Black with a creamy, beige head. Aroma promises raisins and lots of spice, with cardamom dominant. Taste is mildly sweet, and fruity too—again raisins—with a long, faintly oak-bitter, spice-filled finish. Faint soy sauce underneath it all. Medium bodied, mild carbonation, very easy-going and surprisingly delicate. No sign of the alcohol until the very end, where there’s a faint warmth. Good stuff.

From tap at Erzbierschof, Zürich. Aroma is malt, vinegar, tart fruits, funky notes, touch of peach and strawberries, vinous notes, oak. Flavour is medium sour and light sweet. Body is medium. Nicely complex, malty and fruity, both sour and a little sweet, like a hypercharged Flanders Red. You wouldn’t guess this is an 11% brew from drinking this piece of work.

Bottle from Beers & More, Zürich. Aroma is sweet dark malt, caramel, dark chocolate, dark fruits, berries, black tea. Flavour is sweet with a decent bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Not full at all, rather light for an Imp. Stout. Decent but not great.

Bottle at home. Wonderfully complex aroma of tart fruits, Bretty funk, citrus, zesty orange, oak, light malty, spicy notes, apricot. Flavour is tart and medium sour. Body is medium. Wow, this Saison is something else entirely, it leaves most ’competitors’ way behind. This almost akin to a Lambic, wonderful complex Bretty funky and sour, amazing!

Bottle from a trade with CH-303, thanks! Aroma is pale malt, grassy hops, yeast, light tropical notes, mango, hint of berries including strawberry. Flavour is light sweet and with a bitter and fairly dry finish. Body is medium. Bordering on funky, BFM quality stuff with depth, yeasty and grassy fruity hoppy. Good!

From tap at Oersoep Craft Beer Festival 2018. Aroma is softly smoked caramel malt with nice smoked Suchong, notes of herb, ripe fruits and toffee. Sweet with a little bitterness. Body is medium. Nice use of smoked tea, it's full of character but not overpowering.

From tap at Oersoep Craft Beer Festival 2018. Fruity aroma with citrus, lots of rhubarb, some funk, and grass. Flavour is sour with a little bitterness and a big tartness. Body is medium. Good stuff, the rhubarb works so well in this Saison.
