A fluffy, off-white head over a deep toffee brown body. The nose leads with honey, a touch of spice, butter and some herbs. Taste features dark honey, apricot, toasted grain in a slightly herbal wash. Hints of hops and ground nuts help balance the sweetness. A relatively dense body with a slightly slick mouth feel. Enjoyable.

This beer cannot figure out what it is, and neither can my taste buds. The head disappears so quickly I can't remember what colour it was. Body is cola colour and has cola-like characteristics. Taste profile is reasonable, but defies categorization. Smooth caramel, a range of fruit notes without hop bitterness, champagne-Belgian yeast and sweet malt. Not an experiment that I really appreciate.

An overactive, off-white head with solid lacing and retention over a dark amber body. The nose features zesty citrus hops and sweet caramel malt. The taste profile has more of the same - fresh hop profile with lemon, orange and other citrus notes. Pine resin and a little orange rind add bite to the finish. Sweet, almost buttery malt and herbaceous notes round out a very solid east coaster

A white head on a murky honey coloured body. The nose features fresh ground spices, sweet tea and some fruit zest. Tonnes of fresh, complementary taste elements here. Nutmeg, cloves, green apples, sweet tea, orange zest and even a spash of cherry. Solid sweetness and cereal notes in the malt, slightly slick body and solid carbonation round out a really tasty, refreshing Blanche.

A big fluffy white head with solid lacing. The straw/gold body is topped by a solid nose of sweet malt, grain, honey and citrus fruit. A really tasty saison! Cereal, Belgian yeast, and touches of pepper and spice work nicely with a range of fruity undertastes - orange, lemon and peach. Some floral hops here too. Plus effervescence helps keep it refreshing.

A classic Quebec hoppy blonde! An overactive, fluffy white head on a golden straw body. Nice punch to the nose with citrus, pepper and sweet malt. There is a nice relatively soft range of fruity tastes from the hops - kiwi, lemon, mango and orange lead the way. The sweet malt is a nice backdrop, and pepper and a soft soapiness add to taste. Strong effervescence helps keep it clean and sessionable.

473mL can, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma has lots of medium roasted malt, hearty oats, and a touch of cocoa. Flavour has a nice robust roasted malt base, cocoa, some sugars, and even some pungent hops to balance. Roasty, sweet finish with good malt depth. Very good.

473mL can. Pours deep dark brown with a beige head. Gentle roast on the nose. Flavour has tons of bready malts, good roast, burnt crusts, some gentle roasted coffee. Nice hopping as well. This is a very good imperial stout.

Slightly hazy orange pour, with a big white head. Aroma has some great funk, subtle barnyard aromas with sweet stone fruit, yeast and some vinous woody barrel notes. The carb and mouthfeel are bang on. The finish is light to medium bitter with a satisfying sweet stone fruit finish with alot of woody, vanilla flavours in the end. The wood really comes through in the finish, subtle spice, vanilla, earthy barrel, and some acidic vinous flavours. Very complex.

Least favorite of the bunch. Tropical fruit, slight funk, a little tart, some big yeast esters. The barrel is hard to find, light earthy wood, and it seems like the cognac did nothing but make this sweeter than the others. Medium bitter finish sweet cereals with tropical fruit and more yeast, pretty boring really.
