Black with lasting head. Aroma and flavour start quite intensely with strong bitter roasted malts and some coffee. It does wane slightly though.

Pale blond colour with lasting fluffy head. Aroma has a little grass and some citrus. Flavour is fresh and has a hint of lime zest. A little yeasty dryness in the finish.

Bottle purchased at BXL 2018. Bought after some British friends highly recommended this. Pours black, small tanned head. Smell is roasty. But none of the ashy, burnt, sometimes even plastic notes I frequently get in Belgian stouts. Seems promising! Taste is sharp, bitter, roasty, but again not ashy etc. Médium mouthfeel ( could be amped up) mild coffee. Not bad, not bad at all. Not up there with international greats, but certainly amongst the better or even best in Belgium, for its genre. Not sure about the impact the yeast had. It'd be fun to try a side by side against the same beer with 'regular' yeast.
