Aus der Flasche im 2026-07 getrunken. Diese trübe, goldene Gueuze ausgewogene Aromen wo man neben einer Citrussäure eine deutliche Hefe und Eichenaroma durch das 5 jährige BA. Die Säure ist hier moderat und der Körper sorgt für einen langen Abgang. Sehr klassisch!

Huge, receding whitish head over ochre-ish golden beer, lightly veiled. Sour grapes & raisins, horseblankte, dried flowers and immortelles, lemon. Dry, horseblanket, farmyard, dried lemonpeel, mushrooms, leather, green apples carrying just a tad sweetness. Ultra-dry, very well-carbonated, acidthinning but still very mals. Excellent gueuze, the complexity telling about the lagering as said in the blurb. Txs to Stef!

On a hand pull, third of a pint in the Boot on 9th July 2026. No mention of 'Oude' on the pump clip, or ABV; hope it's the same beer? Anyway it poured a murky red with no head and tasted of old cherries, semi tart and sour.

On tap at Hops, Crewe. Pours a hazy gold with minimal off-white head. There’s malts and corn in the aroma plus hints of spice. In the mouth it is quite bitter but with a little underlying sweetness and a creamy texture. Yeast is prominent in the flavour, alongside Belgian hops, pepper and spice. Hints of berry fruits and alcoholic strength come later leading to a somewhat spicy finish. This is a decent Belgian style pale.
