Description
Raw Brewing Company was created from a passion for real ale and an idea that became reality. After several years of enjoying real ale David decided to have a go himself as a hobby to see if he could produce quality real ale. After several months it was clear that the product was good with the assistance from an army of tasters! It was time then to turn this passion and idea into reality Raw Brewing Company was born.

First brewed 14th May 2010. Following financial issues, the brewery was taken over by Silver Brewhouse who still brew their brands. From circa 2021 some Raw beers were released as Silver Brewhouse beers, and the Raw brand was discontinued.

On cask at Beer Cellar Exeter, pours a hazy orange with some soapy, white head. Nose is OK, some breakfast tea, some lemon and vegetal notes, mild honey, mild flowers. Flavor has some tannic tea notes, some herbs, a little wormwood or something, lemon. Finishes a touch tannic. Needed more of everything really.

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Deep gold, clear with a ring of soapy with head. Light aroma of freshly mown grass with a touch of gooseberry. Taste is slightly rougher and grainier, leading to a dry finish. It's ok but if truth be told there isn't so much to this.

Cask @ Calans, Hebden Bridge. Deeper amber with a small creamy head. Has a clear strength to it, but doesn’t get that stated in its fruitiness, which is there and pleasant enough, but perhaps lesser stated than expected. It is wonderfully smooth though.
