Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Rad amber colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Molasse and caramelic notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Some caramellic notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Nice.

Poured from bottle in the US. The last time I had Greene King IPA, it was cask conditioned in London. When I saw this at my local specialty shop, I couldn’t help but pick it up. This pours a clear dark amber with a thin head that slowly dissipates. Aroma is mostly malty with a very subtle hop character. Taste is very similar to the aroma, slightly bitter. I feel that I’m rating this based on my travel experience, I bought this for $5 for a 16 oz which is pretty expensive, not sure if I’ll purchase again, but I’m glad I did at least once.

Mahogany with a tiny beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and chocolate. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and dark fruits. Finished sweet and bitter from the hops.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of nuts, spices, and citrus. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, spices, and a bit of butterscotch, leading to a dry bitter finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear reddish brown with a rough off-white head. Very British aroma from the hops, also sweet roasted mats. Solid body, very sweet roasted malts, dark overripe fruit, licorice, yeast and phenols. More alcohol than hops in the finish. 010510

50 cL clear bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours clear and golden dark brown with a reddish glare and a small tan head. Aroma is herbal, ashtray and acidic hops. Roasted malt flavoured, dry and tobacco like hops flavoured too. Bitter hops and dry roasted malty finish.

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium to dark brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, dark berry, wood - tobacco, sugar. Flavor is heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long to average duration, malt and sugar sweet. 500ml can. Amber, vanishing beige head. Nice if plain aroma of caramel and flowers. Taste is pretty straightforwardly sweet with finishing bitterness and salt. Light bodied. Very slight carbonation. There’s no magic here, but this is an OK bitter - maybe it really suffers in bottles.
