Cask. Clear dark amber with a rough off-white head. Sweet roasted malts, fruit and caramel in the nose. Medium body, very low in carbonation, nutty, roasted malts and a whiff of licorice. Lightly hoppy finish. Nice. 160110

Cask. Pours a clear warm amber with an off-white lacing head. Lightly nutty aroma. Thin and watery body, flattish, vague accents of toffee and nuts. Again a little moldy. Dry finish but not overly hoppy. 160110

Cask at the Nascot Arms, Watford. Reddish copper in colour with a loose cream head; aroma of fresh hops; thin and watery body, caramel sugars dominate the flavour; the finish is dry, woody and bitter.

500ml see-through bottle bought from bestillingsutvalget, Systembolaget.. Firm, off-white head, slowly vanishing over a bright, copper-amber body. Spotty lacework on the glass. Smell of caramel malts along with dry hops. Fine transition from aroma to the flavours of plain bready malts and delicate hops. Smooth and long-lived bitter tail. Should make a great session beer (The Elvis memorial day, Tromsø 08.01.2010).

Cask at the Nascot Arms, Watford. Red brown in colour with a loose white head; aroma of well roasted malts and caramel; rich, roasted malt flavour with some nuts and sour purple fruit; dry finish. A warming and pleasant pint on a cold winters evening.

Draught, The Pumphouse, Liverpool. Clear golden colour with minimal off white head. Fruity aroma with caramel malt and vague hop. Sweetish flavour with fruity notes and muffled hoppage. Thought this was going to be poor judging by other GK beers and I suppose its slightly better than anticipated. Nothing exciting here though....

Bottle 275ml. [ Vintage ]. Clear dark amber color with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, beige head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel, oxidide malt, cardboard, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090808]

Bottle. Poured a cloudy amber with an amazingly thick white head. Aroma had earthy notes and not much else. Couldn’t pick up much flavor as the amazing creaminess overwhelmed me.
