Litt fruktig bitterhet i ettersmaken. Nå begynner den å nærme seg en IPA i smaken og tyngden og ikke bare i navnet. KI=6

Cask. Poured a pale amber with an off-white head that lasted throughout the beer. Aroma was light with floral and citrus hops and perhaps a touch of toffee and bread. Flavor had a strong earthy notes as well as some floral and citrus hops. Quite thin.

Cask. An amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of butter and fruit. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of butter and fruit, leading to a dry finish.

Pours copper/ruby with a small but persistent creamy head, leaving lacing all the way down the glass.Oxidative notes of port instantly hits in the rich, malty aroma, followed by grapes, burnt toffee, molasses, light roasted malt and soft alcohol. Very nice!Flavours are similarly rich with burnt toffee, oak, figs, treacle and hint of roasted malt. Slightly bitter finish, but not in a hoppy way, it seems to blend in with the oak and roasted malt flavours.A richer body would do wonders for this beer, at times it seems water, especially considering the robust flavours.

500ml bottle from Morrisons/ Very dark brown colour. Bready aroma, some butter, diacetyl I think. Looks good though. Flavour has some decent fruit and brown sugar. LIttle bit of sting on finish. Bit sweet. It;s ok I suppose and a bit toasty on the malt. Sweet malt and ok if just uninspiring.

Re-rate 1/26/13: Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks troubles. Clear amber. Aroma of cardboard, minerals, malt, a bit of caramel hints and some hoppy notes. Sweetish flavor with a bit of malt, light toasty notes and a more bitter and slightly hoppy finish. Very watery mouthfeel. Drinkable, but really boring. 5/3/5/2/10=2.5
