2017 bottleThanks Natko! Dark amber clear body, tiny white head. Light sweetish peachy and malty aroma, fine. Similar taste, light peachy maltiness, creamy, light caramel, slightly fishy. Ends dry. Not bad at all. 2010, keg... I’ll assume that I’ve had this from keg, not from cask, at Dr!nk, Tallinn (thanks Marko for letting me try it!) Poured a light amber-copper body with a thick white head. Sticky odd honeyish, slightly malty nose with light notes of vinegar. Some nice orangey hop mixing with acidity in the smooth taste. Meh, unimpressive. 5/3/6/3/11

Cask at Cumberland bar ... i only popped in cause i was passing... and its usually got nothing ... Imagine my amazement to find 2 new ticks ... then my disappointment to find they were both Green King ... Still this one was worth the discovery ... deep red brown ... ovaltine toffee nose ... sweet toffee malts ... little blackcurrant ... little ovaltine ... DARE I SAY IT... while lacking the body and the it has tones that remind me of WESTVLETERN 12 ...

Cask at the Standing Order (JDW), Stevenage. Reddish copper in colour with a thin cream head; aroma of blackberries and autumn fruit; similar fruit flavours with some caramel malts to finish. Not bad for GK.

Cask, handpump at The Bull, Launton, Nr Bicester, Oxon, 11-04-10 This is a special brewed for/in honour of the Greene King head brewer. Pours amber with a white filmy head, fruity and smooth bitter. This is fine and totally inoffensive, fruitiness is light and it could do with more bitterness, but its pleasant enough. A6 A4 F6 P3 Ov11 3.0

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 8/04/10. Dark, reddish brown with next to no head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruit and a touch of roastiness. Flavour was similar with a long, bitter finish. Ok.

Cask handpump at The Penny Black, Bicester, JDW 10-04-10 with Craig & family Pours mid/dark brown in fact its chestnut in colour & there is good clarity with a small white bubbly head. Toffee & caramel coming off of what is sticky sweet, malty nose. The first beer that I had here at JDW’s that actually had a lot of taste, ok so it’s full of sweet malty flavour’s, with plenty of toffee, but there is dark alcohol soaked fruits there, its chewy and tasty, easily the best beer at JDW’s today. Clear amber with a medium off white fluffy head. Fruity aroma with toasted malt, hops and piney notes. Fruity flavour with hops, pine and malty notes. Finished bone dry with bittering hops.

Bottle 500ml. @ home.Clear medium to dark red brown (mahogany) color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, toffee, vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100228]

Cask @ Counting House. Dark amber colour, small off-white lacings. Aroma is toasted malts and caramel. Flavour is toasted malts, licorice, dark fruits, nutty, caramel. Sour and slightly dry finish. Well drinkable.
