tap at House of Brews. Pours deep dark brown with nice head and lacing. Nose is filled with cocoa and coffee and hops. tastes of piney hops, chocolate, pine, coffee, earth, and rootbeer. its slighty slick on palate and you can feel the dankness on roof of mouth.

On tap @ The Pony NYC. A glowing cloudy almost yellow golden one with a nice big and lasting dense top. The nose is mild, quite gentle but still manages to be really nice and inviting. Orange zest, blackcurrant, wheat, yeast and citrus. It has a mild gliding oily mouthfeel and a average small bubbled carbonation level. More citrus in the taste, wheat, white pepper, orange zest the dried kind, gooseberries and quite a fair amount of grassy hops. More than I'm used to in my saisons really. Quite complex and refreshing. Yeasty finish with a deep lasting aftertaste. Quite enjoyable. 20.06.2013

A golden amber ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, caramel malt with nice piney and resinous floral, citra, nice surprise. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with loads of citra hops, citrus pulp, lingering bitterness, very nice.

Proletariat, NY tap ($7): Pours hazy gold with white head. Aroma is saison yeast, of course, citrus, spice and some hops. Taste is slightly sweet, somewhat funky, plenty spice and just very saisonesque. More hits of citrus and funk than there is of hops. I would not have called this a hoppy saison in my book.

Tap at Hoptron - a surprisingly dry and biscuity ipa for the abv - a slight burtonesque character accentuates the dryness - light bready character late and a whiskey like note from the malt - lingering earthy finish - quite good.

Tap at Hoptron - clear gold - sticky lace - crisp, dry, grassy, and clean kolsch - light clean sweetness up front makes way for crackery malt, a light mineral bite, and grassy, lightly peppery hops - way executed.
