Cask at the Live and Let Live, Cambridge. Amber with a dense white head; rich, buttery aroma with a hint of apricot and almond; oliy and honeyed in the mouth, with orange fruit and deep sustained bitterness, leading to a rich, chewy, butterscotch finish. Excellent.

Cask at Hatch End W’Spoons. Golden coloured ale with a fresh floral aroma. Quite hoppy for a wheat beer. Any beer brewed by Oakham is decent. This went down very nicely on a very warm late Spring day in suburbia.

[Cask at the Nags Head, Reading] My first beer from this highly-regarded brewer pours gold with a moderate white head. Light citrussy aroma with floral hints and some straw. Very bitter on first taste, but soon reveals big citrus flavours - marmalade initially, huge juicy fruity bursts in the middle and bitter grapfruit in the lasting finish. An excellent beer that transcends a style I’m often not too fond of. I’ll seek out more beers by this brewer now.
