Golden; nose is quite fruity, with a good hop rate; fresh-tasting, fruity (pineapple, blackberry, pear); slight mineral note.

A bit cloudy, light tan. Very fresh, leafy, powdery dry hop aroma. Rich hop bitterness, light berry and fruit overtones. Bready and complex - great breezy malt backbone. Brilliant - and I liked it last time I had it (3.5).

Rerate, 2015, 500 ml bottle, from Prima Beer, Hobro. ABV is 4.2%. I had to sample to bottled version to see if the glamour from the cask version was gone. It is not. Still a lovely and refreshing beer, with tingling hops throughout. Original rating 2002: (Cask conditioned at The Grid, Southfields, London). One of the best beers I’ve ever tasted! Top rating at The Great British Beer Festival. A real ale bitter with a complex aroma and flavour, still it’s surprisingly light and refreshing.
