Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 7th June 2016. Clear gold with thin off-white part-lacing foam. Spicy, earthy and grassy hop aroma. Grassy in-mouth with citrus touch. A light, leafy herb bitterness in the finish. Light-bodied with a smoothish mouthfeel. Pleasant.

Bottle share. Cotteridge Beano v2. Pale gold. Bubbly, white head. Nose is really astringent, citrusy hop. Some curious vegetal notes. Taste is astringently tart, and bitter. Finishes much the same. Not sure if I got the dregs of this one, but I didn’t get on at all with it.

Cask at Craft 100 - Craft Beer Co. Clapham, London. Pours clear yellow-gold with a frothy, white head. The aroma is all pale grains and citrus rind. Lightly sweet flavour with husky grains, minerals, lemon peel. Light bodied with fine carbonation; OK condition. Dry on the finish, with heavy minerality and moderate rindy bitterness. Just so so overall.

Light to medium sweet flavour with notes of pale grains, more melon and grapefruit, hay, grain husk. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Finishes with more pale grain character, embellished with pleasantly citrusy hops. Good beer.

Bottle at Appellation Wines tasting. Clear dark brown body with a thin beige head. Aroma of earth, nuts and chocolate. Flavour of bready malts with a sour finish. Thin body with a frothy texture. Soft fizz. Smells better than it tastes. The sour finish is a bit weird.
