Flaske fra Holmens importkoffert, delt med Ovesen: nesten skumfri. Brunsvart. Mye kaffe + litt lakris (og noe karamellsødme?) i både aroma og smak. Nesten ikke karbonering. Lett bitterhet i ettersmaken, som faktisk sitter ganske lenge. Tørr.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell on 12th May 2015. Black with pale brown shallow dying foam and almost no lacing. Fresh malts and roastiness in aroma. Bitter and roasty in-mouth with burnt coffee notes and fresh fruity citric tang. Plenty of roast malts and bitterness in finish. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Bottle share at Leighton’s Stratoflat. Thanks to Dan, Hazy peach - gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and semi dry with good fine carbonation. Light thin pale malts. Hops are very Mandarin, really showing off their name here, more than in any other Mandarina Bavaria beer I’ve tried. Light finish. A fruity treat.

Keykeg at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon, Tuesday 28th April 2015 in the company of Peter Fowler, Gazza and Jay. Just to say I think that this was 3.1% however I know from Gazzas blog about the beer he was expecting it to finish at 3.4%, but I believe it’s 3.1%. We had this on Keykeg, it poured very dark as good as black with not too much of a head. A nice aroma of juicy orange (I understand from talking to Gazza and from reading his blog that they added a lot of zested and chopped oranges to this brew and it was also dry Hopped with Mandarina Bavaria) The orange also came through in the mouth not aggressively so, it was really pleasant a touch of orange oil with some chocolate, so a bit like Terrys Chocolate Orange. Smooth and fruity throughout and with a lot more going on than you might expect for the abv. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6
