33 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a little reddish hue and a fully vanished head. Dried fruity aroma, solid caramel malt base with a light spice note. Flavour holds a mild liqourice note, subdued dried fruit and a full caramel malt base, slight roasted. Lingering dark fruity finish.

Kerstvuur 2013 - Copper coloured. Aroma of sweet spice and barnyardesque yeasty funk. Very sweet, spicy taste. Again the dominance of cinnamon is not so nice. Hardly any difference to the 2012 version. Ar4Ap4T4P3O9 - 2.4. _____________________________________ Kerstvuur 2012 - Dark blond colour. This year clove and cinnamon are quite dominant. Ar4Ap4T5P3O9 - 2.5 ____________________________________ Kerstvuur 2011 - Orange colour with thin, lacy head and big chunks of floating residue from the bottle. This time the Christmassy spice comes through well together with bittersweet orange and a bit of spicy yeast. Texture is oily, carbonation low. Ar7Ap3F8P4O15 - 3.7 _____________________________________ Kerstvuur 2009- Hazy dark blond colour. Very herbal, grassy, aromatic. Coriander and Bay leaf come through. Flavour is very much dominated by the herbs although it remains a smooth and well refined beer with a peppery edge. Certainly not very Christmassy. Ar6Ap3F6P3O12 - 3.0 ____________________________________ Kerstvuur 2007 - Pours a beautiful clear pale orange colour. Aroma is of oranges and spices. Texture is soft at first before the taste of cloves kicks in. A great winter beer full of fruit and spice that still remains clean and fresh. Ar7Ap4F8P4O15 - 3.8

33 cL bottle, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium. Pours slight hazy orange with a dense off-white head. Mild yeasty and malty mellow aroma. Flavour is sweet malty with a nice mellow yeasty spice note. Finish is much the same - a very gentle and smooth brew. Very nice.

Bottled@Kerstbierfestival, Essen. Yellowish golden colour, not much head. Aroma is spices, sweet malts and some mild fruits. Flavour is nectar, spices and a mild sting of alcohol. All in all quite good balance.

Bottle: poured a reddish brown with a thick creamy beige color head. The aroma is sweet caramel or brown sugar and fruit. Taste is a brown sugar malt with a nice dry sugary finish.

Bottle. Unclear amber color with a large frothy good lacing mostly lasting off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, burnt, moderate to heavy yeasty. brown sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter (burnt bitter) with a average duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Ruby color, decent off-white creamy head, lace. Fruity (plums), grassy and a bit alcoholic aroma. Lightly alcoholic, sweetish (prunes and raisins) basic "ok abbey dubbel" but nothing outstanding. A bit too thin and simple.
