Bottle from Reserve Society: pours black with beige head. Cherry, chocolate, funky, vinegar. Taste is acidic and fairly sour. Cherry notes are prominent. A bit heavy on the acid with not enough roast to really balance it out nicely.

Bottle thanks to BillyT. It pours a beautiful amber colour with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is atoma is sweet - sour, quite bright, apple, zingy lemon - lime, gooseberry, white grape, vanilla, fragrant floral notes and sponge cake. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, tart, puckering, zingy, kick of acidity but not too much, lactic, apple cider vinegar, vinous, gooseberry, white grapes, mellow coconut/vanilla edge, booze, sherbet and some honey cake. Medium+ body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Great condition for the age. Fun stuff overall and definitely better than expected!

750ml bottle at the DC Beer share. Oily rusty brown. Leggy. Cherries and brandy and port. Tart finish which helps because there is still some sugar lurking. 6 3 6 3 11

Bottle, 0.375l. Aroma is musty, vinous, woody and floral with barnyard note. Pours hazy orange golden color with medium sized creamy off-white head, good lacing and sparkling appearance. Taste starts tart grainy, citrusy and vinous, following is funky, herbal and slightly medicinal with rather dry and mild spicy mouthfeel. Full body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Funky Ardennes classics…
