bottle, famillie rue 2018 , tasted feb 07 2024 so well aged bottle. aroma is tart and sour, complex, some of the sourness seems less refined than belgian sours, sort of more like urine less like citrus, fresh fruits, vanilla as it warms up, marzipan, very complex, not just sour complexity lots of woody warm spicy vanilla coconut etc.like notes too. yeasty note. flavor is quite sour and tart, faint rubbery note, leather, acidic citrussy sourness, fruity leathery sourness, woody faint yeasty note, flavors all mixed up in this old bottle, at times a bit white vineous, seriously complex and layered, a sipping sour that will keep you occupied for quite a while. Not the cleanest or the best flavor, but for sure will keep me going back to the bottle for more exploration.

Bottle from beergium pours dark brown, with a smooth brown head. aroma seems to be very tart and sour but also having the most lovely fresh blackurrant notes, this 2018 bottle is tasted 2024 and the aroma is SO balanced it's crazy. at least or better than anything black currant related that I am able to imagine. the complexity is high, the blackcurrants on top, tons of stuff going on just below. Flavor is not holding up, unfortunately, flavor is like overripe fruit with more or less strange notes from (the intended) infection, a bit of a letdown coming from an insanely delicious aroma but when the chock has settled the flavor becomes okay-fine ish. super complex, but i can't get head or tails out of it, i get tar, roasted notes, burnt plastic, dark fresh fruits, wood, glue, something resembling oxidization. end is neither sour or bitter and a bit abrupt, far lingering aftertaste is unfortunately warm or burnt plastic and booze. but the aroma... omg.. that was extraordinarily fantastic. perhaps my bottle were just past its prime reg. flavor.

Bottle @ work. Unclar golden body under a small white head. Funky aroma with malt, peaches, acidic red berries, wood and a little hint of acetone. Taste is light and refreshing with peaches, lemon, wood and wild funk. Relatively balanced, fresh, acidic and tart.

Solid beer. Super tart, kind of an original for the style. Light, but heavy acidic. Feels a little mistreated, but not top 50. Beer temple ams

16oz can pours a thick purple with a little pink head. Nose is straight blueberry pie, jam, a little vanilla. There is some indistinct booze lurking... like a pie crust that had too many shots of vodka in it. Will my real bakers please stand up? Booze continues though and the clear blueberry from the nose transforms to more of a young merlot character in the mouth. Cheap merlot. Booze. Vanilla is there. Jamminess comes back at the end and saves this a bit.

Bottle shared at Craft Beer Junction - cheers! Pours mostly clear gold with a bubbly white head. Light sweet flavour with sharp acidity, lemon, pear, salty sweat. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Quenching finish, salty, more lemony tartness. Not bad.

Craft Beer Junction. Xmas bottleshare. A light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, light and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Airy malts, mildly sweet. Good guezey fruits, tart and bright and a little woody but always pleasing. Just a touch of aceticness on the finish. Nice.
