F: medium size, tanned, not long lasting. C: dark, opaque. A: malty, caramel, dark fruits, bit vinous, toffee, dried fruits. T: malty, caramel, bit chocolate, brown sugar, bready, bit nutty, coriander, bit soapy, medium to full body, lower carbonation, aroma is more promising than taste but not bad at all, 0,33l bottle from Spar supermarket in Oostende.

33cl bottle at home on 27th Aug 2017. Poured slowly into an ’Augustijn’ badged chalice, no sediment left the bottle. Ruby red/brown body, smooth blanket of beige foam on top. A malty base gives off chocolate and coffee esters in the nose, the taste also malt forward. There are hints and traces of rum like flavours, some liquorice notes also alongside the aforementioned chocolate and coffee from the aroma. Hides the alcohol well, but just seems a bit ’thin’ in body depth for a 9% ABV brew. I think this would have gone well with a Jamaican Rum Cake, sadly I didn’t have one to try with it.

Gekocht op zaterdag 4-2-2017 bij K&S Beer Tobacco Galerie in de Katelijnestraat 52 te Brugge tijdens het 10é Bruggse bierfestival. Een winkeltje waar je keuze hebt uit meer dan 500 verschillende bieren en met nog een ingang/achterdeur rechttegenover brouwerij De Halve Maan. Thuis geproefd op 15-07-2017. Dunekeun Winterbier is een wazig donkerbruin biertje dat bij het uitschenken veel beige-kleurig schuim produceert, het heeft een fijne gelijkmatige structuur en blijft sterk aan het glas kleven, het heeft een normale stabiliteit wat na een tijdje resulteert in een fijn laagje van ongeveer 5mm dikte. Weinig CO2 verzadiging te merken met allemaal fijne belletjes. Het aroma van Dunekeun Winterbier is karamel-zoet en ook wat karamel-moutig, ook een beetje hout kan je merken. De smaak is vooral karamel-zoet met ook weer de karamelmout en een lichte toets van jeneverbes. In de mond is Dunekeun Winterbier medium volmondig, wat waterig van textuur en toch wat prikkelend, door al die smaken en het mondgevoel neigt het naar een teleurstellend biertje. De nasmaak van Dunekeun Winterbier vloeit bijna niet uit is wat zoetig en helemaal niet bitter, er komt hier een koffie-toetsje de kop op steken. Spijtig van de waterige textuur en de weinige uitgesproken smaken, hier zat meer in. Bottle from Deca and drunk at home. Hazy gold orange colour with lasting white head. Some citrus. Some tangerine, overly carbonated. A little candied fruit. Some yeast some hops on the finish It’s ok but not much of a tripel more a fruity hoppy Belgian blond. Drinkable enough for me.

Bottle from Deca, Woesten, Flanders, consumed at home Good Friday 14th April 2017 after a hard day building a pond. We’re now cooking Picadillo (Mexican Chilli) Pours hazy, grubby gold in colour with a white rim of bubbly foam. A little bit of yeast, fruit and a little dab of spice. There is a smidgen of hops, fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Dark brown beer lasting beige head. Malty aroma. Brown malt flavour in the mouth. Some spicy hop on the finish. It’s a decent strong malty beer. Well made. Doesn’t drink its strength. Good spicy finish. Or was that the moroccan meatballs? Ok. Malty.

Thank you for sharing kraddel + tderock + Rubin77! Sampled draft @ Bruges Beer Festival 2017. Hazy orange with a few white bubbles. Nose is cleaning products, soap, grains & low vegetables. Taste is soap, vegetable, sugar, chemical, bitter grains & soap.Body is soap, chemical, grain. Meh soapy tripel with some vegetable notes, pass.
