clear brown, smooth brown head. nice nutty aroma, roasted malts, so roasted that the arma has notes like a porter. still clearly a quad though. flavor is roasted malts, faint licorice like flavor, powdered sugar, faint dark dried fruits, but flavor wise, it is pretty close to a porter. Taste is pretty good, dry.. blind tasted it would be tagged porter or stout i’m sure.

750ml, bottled March 25th 2014.
It pours t dark brown, over an inch of off white foam and kills it with the lacing.
Dark pitted fruit and caramel malt straight up in the smell. Hint of slight oxidation.
The taste is delightful. Dark pitted fruit with a mild sweetness from the malt and, again, hints of oxidation. Bit of cardboard and butterscotch. In a quantity that’s easily manageable for my palate.
I call it full bodied with medium carbonation.
An excellent example of a Quad here. I am glad that I got to enjoy a bottle all the myself.

33 cl bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and toasted malty. Bitter, fruity. Dry. Toasted malty and bitter. Dry far finish.

Tulip glass from bomber. Red brown with sizeable off white head, and lively carbonation. Creamy bitter toffee flavor, full body and long sweet malt finish.

Dark brown color with a light tan head, almost beige with good duration and nice lacework. Aroma has yeasty notes, burnt caramel and toasted malts. Flavor is toasty, caramelish with light notes of coffee with a slightly sweetness. Slightly sweet final with light coffee mouthfeel.
