Nous ne sommes clairement pas sur une bière d exception. Cette Chocolate Porter de la brasserie Préaris n est pas convaincante. Du chocolat, elle en a assurément. La bière est d ailleurs douce (une pointe de trop) avec également de notes de caramel. Mais elle est également bien fruitée avec des notes d agrumes et de fruits jaunes portées par le houblon et une amertume bien présente (ressenti vers les 60/70 d ebu). Mais l alliance avec les notes de café n est pas exceptionnelle (sans être mauvaise). Vous rajoutez à cela quelques pointes de plastique dans l amertume et vous avez les raisons de mon peu de enthousiasme. Sa robe est d un noir profond avec une mousse beige de 5 mm d épaisseur. Au nez ce sont le chocolat et le café qui dominent avec une pointe de caramel et de fruits. L attaque surprend par sa fraîcheur. Elle est souple et bien houblonnée. Notre alliance chocolat, café, caramel agrumes et fruits jaunes est déjà présenté. Ainsi qu en arrière bouche des pointes de notes plastiques peu appréciables pouvant apparaître. La deuxième bouche est quasi linéaire. Un peu plus douce tout de même et un chocolat/caramel un peu plus présent. L arrière bouche montre une amertume un peu plus intense, davantage sur le café. Le notes pratiques continuent d exister par moment toutefois. Très belle troisième bouche sur une dominante chocolat/agrumes. L intensité aromatique et le corps sont alors à leurs maximums. Le café monte alors d intensité pour un final bien élancé, d une longueur acceptable mais qui présente de l astringente (et encore, par instant ces petites notes plastiques). A priori on est sur une édition limitée.... à retravailler donc

Very dark brown colour. Aroma and flavour are very sweet with dried fruits. A little dry and woody too.

At Ghent Beer Festival 2017. Cloudy dark brown with a small, tan head. The aroma contains wine, porto, vinegar, sherry, some roasted malt. It tastes light sweet, light vinegar-like sour and medium roasted bitter, especially into the finish. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. An unusual Imperial Stout; quite complex and likeable.

Very cloudy bright orange beer, no head. Looks like a Looza Ace fruit juice. No head. Aroma: bit vegetar, sweet, some caramel, malty, a bit spicy. MF: quite some carbonation in the mouth (not in the glass though), medium body. Taste: bit sourish, vegetal, funky, bit malty, fruity. Aftertaste: grated carrots, nice sourness, lemony touch, special, interesting for sure, but not much ado with beer, this one. :p

Clear pale blond beer, creamy aery irregular off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit funky, spicy, surprising smell, fruity touch. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: some pomegranate I guess, bit sourish, hoppy, bitter, grassy, malty, some grains. Aftertaste: bit sourish, pomegranate, grains, malty, some citrus, fruity touch, pretty refreshing and original.

Many thanks for this beer to Eric De Geyter. Bottle number: 03121, Vintage 2015. Na samym poczatku zapachnialo tanim Johnnie Walkerem. Wyglad czerwona barwa, dosc jasna nie rubinowa potem brazowa metnista bo byl osadek. Piana srednia i raczej malo trwala. Alkohol wyczuwalny, zdecydowanie Bourbon w tle, zdominowal wszystkie smaki, byly tez figi moczone dlugo w rumie. Bardzo alkoholowe nieco rozgrzewajace. Nie przepadam za Bourbonem. Jak na klase Grand Cru to nieco jestem rozczarowany, w dodatku w tej klasyfikacji nie powinno byc korka syntetycznego. Mocno naciagnalem ocene wiec musialem to napisac.

Bottle. Pours hazy chestnut brown with ruby highlights. Moderate beige head. Good retention. The aroma is rather vague with the style standards. Esters, caramel, spices, a hint of blood/metal. Medium to full body. Big moderately sweet maltiness dominates the taste front. Strong vinous notes, brandy, dried fruit, warming alco and light hop bitterness provide the complexity. Well the taste is really convincing.

Orange colour, small mostly vanishing off-white head. Sugars in the nose with light bready and hoppy notes. Light to medium-bodied. Sweetish /unfermented sugars), caramel, grass, light hoppyness. 50 litre batch and certainly it feels like it. Homenbrewish.
