Cask öl på Biskoppensvapen Guustaf. Mjuk krämig öl med lite apelsintoner . Lite svagt svartpeppar och lakrits .Fins en jäst ton också . Såklart nästan ingen kolsyra . Är ju en rätt typisk cask

Cask at Vine, Wednesfield. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a medium sized foamy off-white head and good lacing. There’s floral hops and pepper in the aroma. In the mouth it is initially sweet but some underlying bitterness which gets larger. Flavour has lemon zind, floral hops and sweet grapefruit with hints of pine and spice coming through later. Finish is bitter and slightly dry. This is decent – the floral and citrus elements blend well with the bitterness.

189 years ago this month the Tolpuddle Martyrs received their pardon after convictions for Unionising. This Unity is a very tasty marriage of hops and bready notes. Some fruitiness too.

Clear amber with a frothy white head and soft fruit malt and a touch of citrus on the nose. Sweet caramel malt, some tangy orange and bitterish floral hops ahead of a dry bittersweet finish

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Clear copper coloured with a thin white head and a light prickle of carbonation. Great condition actually. Caramel up front, then plenty of fruity marmalade. There's a lasting dry, crackly finish of autumn leaves. I like the oranginess, but the aftertaste gets a bit unpleasant. Very traditionally British tasting; it's ok, but it's a long way from being the red IPA that the brewer claims it is.
