Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear dark gold/light amber, small white head, some retention. Aroma of malts, biscuit, spice, orange peel, nice but a touch muted. Taste of cracker, orange peel, flora and a big piney bitterness running through, some sweetness in the finish also. Light to medium bodied with a chewiness in the finish. Quite nice although likely unmemorable.

500ml bottle from Morrisons, online. Pours a clear copper-brown with small off-white head with decent retention and nice lacing Aroma is malty and fairly sweet with biscuit, caramel, light chocolate note, citrus and spice. Taste follows aroma, its light with a crisp bitter bite in the finish and and a touch of peppery spice. Very well balanced. For a best bitter this is very good.

500ml bottle from Morrisons, online. Clear gold with small white head, nice retention. Aroma of biscuit malts and a pleasant floral aroma. Taste is biscuity and bitter. The floral notes from the Nelson Sauvin hops come through but little of the grape notes. Light bodied. Ok.
