22oz (thx, Maxime C.!) at Andrey's. Appearance: dark brown with a tan head. Aroma: nice barrel and fruity caramel notes. Taste: along the same line with some roasted malts and hoppy notes. Overall: pleasant one for sure.

500ml bottle that pours a hazy golden-yellow colour with a frothy-creamy white cap, good retention and some creamy-foamy lacing. The Kveik yeast gives out tangerine nose at first, with the pineapple sweet balance that come out eventually. This fruitiness is felt in the taste with a little zap in the back. Gets juicy looking near the end, with particles. Orange notes all-around blending things with hints of tropical fruits. Alcohol is well-hidden... this is going down nicely.

500ml bottle that pours a lightly hazy, light-golden colour with particles though it. The head is frothy, almost creamy, white with decent retention and some foamy streak of lacing. Big raisin aromas with some milder grassiness when you twirl the glass. The taste is dry enough, with some bitterness that builds in the finish. Still, not too strong. Grape, light apple flavours with the lighter hops. Gets cloudy in the end. Fairly easy to drink with lots going on.

660ml bottle that pours a clean golden colour at first, but gets hazy by the second pour. The head is white, huge, creamy-frothy, very long lasting and leaving thick creamy lacing. Tripel Belgian Ale yeast aromas with some mild vinous hints. Some nice malt and fruitiness comes to enrobe the whole thing. The taste shows again the Belgian yeast at first with some grape, apple notes in the finish. Light hops help the finish. This is quite a nice blend of Belgian Strong Ale Tripel-style and some Champagne notes.

Une forte proportion de résine de houblon camoufle des notes de pamplemousse et de vin blanc mais n’empêche point l’alcool un peu fort de ressortir de cet olfactif puissant. Le visuel présente une bonne mousse assez crémeuse qui se dépose et persiste sur le liquide doré orangé très flou. L’entrée de bouche met en évidence le Nelson Sauvin avec des notes de vin blanc, des fruits tropicaux et de la mangue. La base maltée est bien présente et juste à point avec ses notes de biscuit légèrement sucré. L’alcool est mieux dosé qu’en olfactif et s’intègre bien dans l’équilibre. La résine du houblonnage à cru est également plus proportionnée et supporte bien le coté tropical de la palette. La levure se veut beaucoup plus discrète que dans la ‘’Ça marche Pontiac’’ et c’est très bien ainsi car elle supporte très bien le fruité des houblons. L’amertume est cependant très faible ce qui la rend plus près d’une NEIPA que d’une West Coast. La finale est plutôt sèche, le corps plutôt ample et l’effervescence moyennement active. Emploi judicieux de la levure Kveik assurant un bel équilibre. Très beau produit.

Olfactif ressortant moyennement et laissant découvrir une base fruitée aux allures d’agrumes (pamplemousse, orange) avec une touche tropicale et boisée aux tons fermiers. La mousse est énorme, dense et rocailleuse sur le liquide doré orangé et opaque. En bouche, la levure est très présente et donne un corps mince et une finale très sèche. Les notes dominantes de levure sont boisées, fermières et fruitées. L’amertume est légère et les houblons plutôt discrets. L’emphase est tout à fait sur la levure. Le corps est mince, l’effervescence juste et la finale présente une légère âpreté typique de cette levure traditionnelle. Goût assez particulier mais intéressant. Probablement mal classée : elle a le look d’une NEIPA mais le goût d’une fermière traditionnelle.
