Bottle: Pours a clear, orange amber with a few suspended particles. Thick off-white head and thick lacing. Nose is simple enough, citrus and floral hops with a sweet maltiness. Flavor is hoppy, yet not overly aggresive. Citrus and florals go well with the malt presence. I expected more flavor intensity, but this is still a pleasant and top notch IPA.

Bottle courtesy of Naven: Poured a medium brown color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and some good lacing as well. Aroma of dry malt with some fresh lightly bitter hops. Taste is also well balance between dry malt with some very light sweet notes and a dry light bitter finish. Average body with medium carbonation. Overall, I thought this was simple without much complexity but well made to quench thirst.

Enjoyed at the csbosox tasting 7/3 courtesy of mreusch. Pour is reddish orange with a quickly fading tan head. Aroma is orange citrus, malt and flowers. Taste is a nice hoppy-malt blend. Really nice citrus with flavors of spiciness. Very drinkable - great body with a wonderful finish. This beer was the highlight of my night.

RBSG07. From 22 oz bottle. Pours pitch black with little brown rim. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt and liqourice. Flavour is liqourice and chocolate. Hints of coffee as well. Raisin sweet notes too. Finish is liqourice spiced and sweet.8-5-8-4-16 4.1

Blind tasting at sk8vikings porter / stout tasting, beer no 5. Pours dark black with finer thick creamy brown head. Liqourice and chocolate aroma. Thick mouthfeel. Thick roasted malt, chocolate and liqourice flavour, quite alcohol heavy. Chocolate finish, slight coffee. Very nice, but lacks a bit of refinement. 7-4-8-4-15 3.8

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of madsberg. Pours a cloudy, dark, orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Distinct aroma of oak and bourbon. Quite full-bodied, extremely complex, lots of roasted malts, dried fruits - raisins in rum - and again these great bourbon accents. The finish is rather bitter. Very pleasant. 270607 Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Blindtasting. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with a rough off-white head. Sweet aroma of wood and vanilla. Medium body with burned caramel and plenty of Bourbon. Somewhat oxidized with a warming alcohol in the finish. 8/3/8/3/15=3.7 060510

Sample from Odeed; Nose of spicy caramel malt, dark friut, and a little alcohol; murky medium brown with a small beige head; Flavor was a little tart caramel, spices, and alcohol in a medium body with a little bitterness for a finish.

I have waited a long time to try this and I enjoyed it very much. I appreciate Skyview hauling it from the West Coast for the RBSG 07. Very malt in the aroma and flavor. Aroma also has roasted malt. Light fruit in the flavor, and some vinous character. I get some smoke, as well as fruit. A brown beer, fairly well carbonated. Thick and heavy, that is for sure. More of a roasted, malty scotch ale than some others I have had, but this was one of the highlights of RBSG.

Bottle courtesy of Bu11zeye: Poured a deep brown color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention. Aroma of huge caramel malt with some great west coast hops profile providing some citrus aroma. Taste is a well balance mix between some huge caramel malt notes and some great west coast hops which provide some citrus flavour and an above average bitterness though it does not shadows the malt profile. Very well done for the style and something I wouldn’t mind having regular access to.
