330ml bottle. Pale watery yellow gold colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of mellow pear, woody & mild funk. Taste is sweetish, syrupy, pear, melon, fruity , tangy, with light wood, solvent and tannin, plus a buttery note. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, fairly clean finish with light hints of hay and minerals. Nicely drinkable perry.

500ml bottle. Orange golden colour, no head and aroma of tart apple, woody, oak, funk, leather, rubber. Taste is dry tangy apple with barnyard, woody, leather & rubber notes, and earthy drying tannins. Quite sour, medium bodied, no carbonation, very dry tannic finish. Abit harsh, but OK.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. Clear orange golden color, virtually no head. Aroma is overripe apple and slightly bretty sort of. Taste apple, applepeel, pretty dry. Don’t get any cascade, nor any other hop. Ok cider, but nothing fancy.

Bottle @ joes. Clear golden colour with no head. Smells brett, leathery, sourish, dusty. Tastes slightly sour, apple, apfelkorn, grape, dusty, wine. Medium body, no carbo.

500ml bottle, "At the Hop #3", 5.5%. Orangey golden amber colour, short-lived foamy white head and aroma of tangy apple, apple skins, barnyard, woody. Taste is sour with citrus zest, resins, hoppy, followed by apple, funk, leather, rubber, woody notes with a drying tannic tartness. Slightly oily but drying mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry sour earthy tannic finish. Interesting, very drinkable.

Clear warm golden colour, dissipating white head. Aroma of apple, light barn, sweet apple skin, fruity hop, citrus, light hay. Fruity flavour, light bitter, refreshing! Finish lemon zest, fruity, apple. Nice!!

Sampled 500 ml. bottle as “At the Hop #3” – a bittersweet cider infused with Cascade Hops @ “Kaapse Brouwers 1st Anniversary Beer Festival”. Darker orange with lots of visible carbonation. Nose is big rustic hops, light funk with sweet apple & fruity hops. Taste is juicy hops, light funk, some bitter apple peel, rustic, dry,… Lovely. I seem to quite dig hoppy cider’s, more please.

330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Kaapse Brouwers 1st Anniversary Beer Festival”. Darker shade of golden. Lightly rustic bitter apple in the nose with light sulfite. Taste is bitter sulfite, bitter apple peal, light rustic, light chemical-like taste, sweet apple,… Rather substantial body. Not ideal but agreeable.

Bottle split at Chriso Easter Tasting ’15, 04/04/15. Clear golden with moderate off white spotting. Nose is orchard fruit, apple, straw, musty wood, hop notes. Taste comprises woody tones, apple pulp, sweet tunes, hop linger. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok Xider.
