Description

Bottle shared @ hotelroom tasting after Borefts Beer Festival Day 1. Hazy yellow color, average to medium sized white head. Aroma is malts and lightly hoppy. Quite nice for Belgian Ale I'd say. Surprising me at least. Taste malts, a bit hoppy again, decently bitter. Hard to describe it properly imo but it's quite ok.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 25 July 2017) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, floral nose with notes of citrus, lemon peel and floral hops. Fruity, malty taste with citrus, lemon, grapefruit, peaches, honey and a finish with fresh floral hops and a balanced bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and refreshing. Quite nice.

Keg at GBBF. It pours jet black with a medium tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, espresso, umami, salted liquorice, toasted sesame, vanilla and meat. The taste is rich roasted, earthy, charred wood, espresso, charred wood, peppery spice, ash and umami with a drying and earthy finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Earthy coffee action.
