Description

33cl Bottle, bought at Winterbierfestival Wormer ’16 from the brewer. Black colour, thin beige-brown head. Aroma of liquorice, wood, some booze, roasted malts, slightly burnt, some caramel. Flavour is medium sweet, liquorice, wood, some hints of brownie, hard-roasted malts, light boozy, hint of resin, light herbal, firm bitterness. Medium bodied. Not very refined, but certainly tasty.

Keg at GBBF. It pours hazy amber with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, apricot, peach, nectarine, sherbet, candied action and brioche. The taste is slick, bitter, earthy, oily, brioche, apricot, peachy, marmalade, warming alcohol, toasty grain and cereal with a slick and boozy finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad.
