75 cl. bottle sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Reddish amber with an okay off-white head. Quite sweet & simple nose, lots of candy & candy sugar, vanilla, sweet spices & malty. Nose is pretty nice, taste sadly has an odd mouldy note upfront, followed by bitter herbs, messy with also notes of sweet malts & sweet spices. Thicker malty body, med. carb. This one felt a bit too much like a mess for me with some less enjoyable notes. Too bad.

2012 Vintage 75 cl. bottle sampled @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2013. Hilarious cheap 80s computer game graphic label, love it. Dark amber with a big fluffy tanned head. Nose is lots of sweet candy, sugary, toffee, caramel, sweet typical BE profile done pretty well. Taste is sweet toffee, faint iron note, touch bitter herbs, overall sweet brown sugar, caramel, sweet toast. Touch lighter body. Pretty nice stuff, not the shinning example I was hoping that it would be.

Rating from 2010: Schöne dunkelbraun-rötliche Farbe, leicht alkoholischer Geruch mit Malznote. --> 7/8/6/7

750ml Bottle - Golden in colour. Lemon, yea, yeast and grapefruit in the aroma. Lemon, soapy hops and tea in the taste. Not quite as hoppy as I was expecting it to be.
