Thanks to my in-laws. Clear and very slightly pale gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Airy palate, light and mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light and sweet pale malts, a little honeyish sweetness. Light crisp pine with reasonably juicy if somewhat ripe orangey citrus. Light finish. A tad too ripe perhaps but quite drinkable.

Thanks to my in laws for this one. Pretty much a clear and slightly deep gold beer, small bubbly cream colour head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Soft malts, creamy and fairly sweet, touch of ripe grain. Ripe orange with bruised orange. Smooth cooling pine. Smooth and semi dry finish. A tad sweet and a tad ripe but overall quite drinkable.

Thanks to my in laws. Clear deep amber beer, good pale tan head. Palate starts smooth and develops decent fine carbonation, a modest dryness. Smooth malts, a fair depth of flavour, mild toffee and cream. Rich ripe orange overlaid with a mild cooling pine. Light and semi dry finish. These Cottage Delights always look gimmicky but they taste decent, this one is well balanced and drinkable.

Bright clear gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, a little soft but with decent fine carbonation emerging on the back end. Light malts, some creamy sweetness and a little bready character. Light pine. An uncomfortably odd elderflower and vaguely vanilla vibe going on here as well as mild citrusy hops. A light and semi dry finish. Typical! Having just bigged this brewery up on a re-rate of Grumpy Santa, I get this howler!

Xmas pressies from my Sis-in-law, who has an uncanny knack of finding me new beers without knowing what I've had! Cheers Sarah! Surprisingly dark amber brown beer, without a light behind it, this looks opaque. Tidy bubbly tan head. Light palate, a tad thin and semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Despite the thinness of the mouthfeel, there is a surprising richness of malts. A little malt cream, a good earthyness, modest coffee and a trace of chocolate. A little berry fruits. The only downside to this surprisingly impressive brew is a whisper of soapy bitterness on the semi dry finish. Overall, a flavoursome brew that took me by surprise given it's tacky Christmas gimmick presentation.

Hops taste like Goldings, an earthy and ripe citrus with mild pine. A trace of esters on the semi dry finish. A perfectly serviceable bitter/gold, certainly had many worse at Camra festivals.

500ml bottle: BBE July 2024, drank at home on Sunday 21st January 2024, definitely not Barbecue weather in Shropshire today! Lager golden body, weak white wisp and collar. Floral hop nose and initial taste, semi-bitter and thirst quenching, it's OK for 'novelty beer'.

500ml bottle shared with Auntie Sue at her house on 12th January 2024. She'd been given it by her daughter Dawn. Poured a clean and clear mahogany colour with a decent lightly tanned head. Malty front to the nose and taste, some spicy elements, minimal hop action and semi-sweet overall. Liked it.

Bottle. Nose is lightly spicey, lightly floral and honey. Taste is lightly bitter, floral, slightly medicinal leading to a spicy finish. The nose is nice but it doesn't really follow through feeling almost acidic.

Bottle from Haskins Garden Centre, West Worthing. Christmas gift. Rum and raisin smell. Dark Ruby colour. Bit macro in the ending but not bad really.
