500ml bottle from Melbicks Garden Centre, Coleshill. Eye - clear amber, small white head, minor retention. Nose - malts, citrus and a big hit of diacetyl. Taste - big butter and yeasty diacetyl, malts and hint of citrus Palate - near medium body, quite smooth. Overall - I don't mind a bit of diacetyl but this was too much. Avoid batch 631.

Sweet malt aroma, with a hint of caramel, pours deep gold with virtually no head. Sweet and sugary flavour, with a bite of hop bitterness and possibly a hint of spice. Drunk completely unseasonally in May because, well just because

50cl bottle pours a clear straw gold, white head.  Nose has flowers, honey, some buttery biscuit, a little white grape.  Flavor is the same, more honey and marmalade than grist.  Finishes lightly tannic.  Enjoyable enough.  7 4 6 3 11
