Old rating from 08-03-16 - 500ml bottle, one of a number of beers found in a local garden centre. It pours a dark brown colour which is fairly clear and has next to no head. Aromas of spice, red fruit & malt. Tastes has much of the same along with grains & caramel. It has a moderately sweet flavour leading to a fairly mild bitterness. Overall even though I was not expecting much, it was a bit of a disappointment.

500ml bottle, brought by my wife at Ransom's Garden Centre in Jersey. Pours golden with a foamy head. Aromas & tastes of flora, pear, caramel, earth & biscuit. Moderate body. Light bitter finish. Better than expected, reasonably enjoyable.

500ml bottle shared with Auntie Sue (it was a Christmas gift of hers): BBE July 2025, drank on 11th January 2025. Ruby red body, off white crown, looked good and wholesome. Slight aroma of liquorice through the dominant maltiness, no liquorice in the flavour though, just a dry malty taste. Lacked body depth too.

Bottle from local garden centre, consumed 1 month past BBE. Pours a clear ruby-brown with small consistent beige top. Aroma of mixed dried fruits, brown bread, burnt caramel, light floral hops. Very malt driven in flavour, raisins, fruitcake, somewhat earthy and dry. An acrid back of the throat bitter finish which isn't great.
