Description
Life's too short for boring, middle of the road beers. Craft Brewery Kees! stands for tasty, fruity, hoppy flavours and strong dark ales, but there'll always be that 'twist' . That special 'something' that make his beers stand out.

Owner and brewer Kees Bubberman started his brewing career in 2007 at Emelisse, a small regional brewery in Kamperland, Zeeland. Within a couple of years Emelisse became a household name among craft breweries worldwide, thanks to the by British and American beer styles inspired ales, IPA's, strong porters, stouts that Kees Bubberman brewed. Never afraid of trying something new and relying on his experience as a restaurant chef he created more than 30 new beers, including an IPA with Earl Grey tea, barrel aged porters en stouts and strong porters and stouts with coffee. Kees was ahead of his time with experimental flavours like these.

In 2014 Kees Bubberman decided to start his own brewery in his hometown Middelburg. Thankful for the opportunities Emelisse gave him, he felt that it was time to go his own way. Brewery Kees! started in January 2015 and within a year his delicious IPA's, strong porters, Russian Imperial stouts and barrel aged barley wines, porters en stouts found their way in the (beer-)world.

Kees keeps on creating new beers and searching for new tastes, sometimes following and sometimes setting trends.

Zwart bier met mooi creme kleurig schuim wat helaas snel wegzakt. Smaak is zoet en krachtig warm met veel chocolade, wat koffie, karamel en een vleug rode bessen en kersen.

330ml can. Slightly hazy orange with a big white head lasting forever. Aroma of caramel, orange, grapefruit, resin. Taste follows suit, orange and grapefruit hoppiness, chewy malts, caramel, pine, strong resinous finish with some good bitterness. Medium-full bodied. Nice old school DIPA.
The BBD of October 2026 near the "Hops Fade Fast" logo is outrageous. Who is keeping hoppy IPAs for 14 months after canning!?

Can. Near clear deep amber - brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin bodied malts, some light creamy sweetness, mildly tangy caramel. Estery bourbon soaked ripe fruits. A mild alcohol spice on the light and semi dry finish. Certainly rich enough for me, smoothness, not so much. Might taste better in a decade.

Pitch black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, light brown head Sweetish-malty, gently roasty and a little fruity aroma of chocolate, caramel, coffee, vanilla, toasted hazelnut and light fruity whisky. Fairly sweet, malty, quite roasty-bitter, slightly fruity taste of chocolate, coffee, roasted hazelnut, vanilla, caramel and some fruity whisky, followed by a medium long, quite roasty-bitter finish. Almost full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really tasty, well-balanced variant with relatively subtle barrel notes.
