Bottle at home, 30th December 2025. Pours a chestnut brown. Aroma is dark fruits, caramel. Taste is smooth, dark fruits - not as good as the Islay version

Brown with a small tan head. Dark dried fruits, dark but not roasted malts, plum, fig, light spice notes. Medium, slick body. Finish has fruitcake flashbacks. The aroma led me to believe this was going to be rather oxidized but the flavor didn’t follow through, thankfully. Still, I believe this is a bit past its prime though still nice.

A mild haze on this amber brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft, fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a soft caramel and cream, not that sweet. Plenty of esters in the mid, fruity esters. High ester rum and a little fruity rum. Soft smooth finish. Fully flavoured and purdy drinkable, just too estery to be top banana in my book .

11.2oz bottle. Big peat smoke, unmistakable peated whiskey aroma and flavor. Quite clean and drinkable for the style. Really well executed, great beer.

2023 vintage, bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours jet black with a handsome khaki head. The aroma is smooth, deep roasted malt, dark chocolate, touch of pipe tobacco, charred oak, umami, liquorice, maritime vibes.abs some rocky road. The taste is initially smooth, then dries, rich roasted malt, deeply charred oak, umami, liquorice, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, dark and dried fruits, plum, raisin, date, fruit cake, burnt toast, chewy, toothy, warming boozey vibes, toasted spice and maritime whisky character with a dry, dark roasted and chewy finale. Full body and moderate carbonation. A big old toothy imperial stout. Definently savoury in today's imperial stout world. Perhaps not as much depth as I would expect, or is that hidden by the balance.?

Bottle at home, 24th December 25. Pours black and daily light for the hefty ABV. Aroma is booze, barrel, liquor, chocolate. Taste is smooth, chocolate, liquor and peat, Ardbeg is there and well integrated, another good one in this great series

Bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours clear golden - blonde with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, toasty spice, cereal, nuttiness, farmhouse style bread, snappy biscuit, some fruitiness and herbal accent. The taste is crispy, firmly dry, snappy, bitter, toasty grains, cereal, nuttiness bread, biscuit, touch of orchard fruits, dried citrus peel, green banana, warming spice, touch of clove and a nip of alcohol with a firmly dry finish. Medium and moderate fluffy carbonation. Rounded and moreish. Nice blonde.

2022 bottle drank in 2025. Unlike the bigger Struise stuff, I don't think this held up that well. Oxidized sherry notes, some faint.Oud Bruin notes. Deep malt tone nonetheless. Interesting, but shouldn't be aged.
