24 October 2019. At Bier Circus, Brussels. Cheers, Anke & Pieter! Pours clear ochre with a lasting, thick, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of hay, apple peel, pear, green banana, cheese, yeast. Taste is light malty sweet, restrained apple, pear, some estery banana peel, bitter straw & grass, a bit wheaty & citric-like. Dry, grassy hoppy finish, spices, straw & yeast. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Not a run-of-the-mill Tripel (indeed somewhat bio, organic, farmhouse-like) but not that tasty either.

Hazy medium golden colour, a lot of tiny bubbles, fair frothy white head, slowly and unevenly dissipating, heavy lacing. Aroma sweet malt, lemon, yeast, goose berries, bread. Flavour light sweet and sour with bitter accents, malty, lemon, gooseberries, pineapple, some basement. Light body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Fruity sweet and sour finish, some bitterness in the background, citrus peel and pith, strong earthy notes and coriander. Though the aftertaste is rather sharp (they have to work on that) I enjoyed this minor saison.

Golden color, hazy. Fermented with Duvel yeast, I guess. You can smell it. Dusty aroma with a hint of citrus. Banana and cream in the flavor. A homebrew taste. This beer must be infected. Some hops, dirty, rancid palate. Re-rate: bottle bought in Grobbendonk in september 2005. Again a heavily infected botle.

Golden color with chunks of yeast. Sligjtly soapy aroma, citric with hints of toffee. Citric flavor with something vegetable-like, that must be the ginseng root. Light soapy herbal aftertaste. Not too bad.

(Draught at Le Bier Circus, Brussels, 17 Oct 2018) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of peaches, coriander, grass, white bread and dried pineapple. Malty, spicy taste with bread, coriander, peaches, hay and a balanced spicy bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Almost full body, with a slight sweetness. Spicy and well made tripel. Nice one.
