Pours unclear, darker amber. No real head. Scent is intense, biscuits, amber malts. Coockie dough. Taste is sharp, tart, crunchy amber malts. Coockie dough, decent but a bit weird.

Pours unclear blonde, no real head. Scent is full, funky, not very typical saison. Not very fruity either. Taste is full, sharp, bit dry, mild tartness. Full fruityness here, which is a pleasant surprise after the aroma. Decent, but why oh why a see-trough bottle ?

500mL bottle at Cantillon for Quintessence 2025, pours a cloudy golden orange, no head. Aroma has plenty of white grape skins, a touch of funk, and tart citrus. Flavour has white grape skins, a touch of funk, and tart citrus. Dry, citrus and musty. Not particularly complex but it’s pleasant.

500mL bottle at Cantillon for Quintessence 2025, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of rustic saison yeast, light peach, and a touch of sulphuric noted. Flavour has muted peaches, rustic notes, and a hint of funk. Muted and somewhat sulphuric despite the nice funk. Okay.

500mL bottle at Cantillon for Quintessence 2025, pours a cloudy dark amber with a small white head. Aroma smells like an English brown, with soft bready malts for the most part; a touch of funk brightens this up. Flavour is much the same, with dry bready malt, and tart funky notes that linger. Not particularly funky or well-constructed but it’s a fun, weird experiment.

Bottle pour at Quintessence 2025. Pours murky gold with a white head. Light coffee on the nose. Flavour has tart plums, tannic skins, some green peppers. Pretty good, but lacking a distinct quality.
