Cask, gravity at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, Hackney, London, 06.12.11 Pours black with a light beige head. Full of nutmeg and cinnammon and as Chris rightly pointed out also a lot of clove in fact I guess that it is the clove that is responsible for this slightly numbing feeling. In truth this is far too heavily spiced, however I rather like it, its a one trick pony and it will be far too much for some, but it has made me think of Christmas and so I suppose in that sense it has achieved part of its objective. Cask at the Southampton Arms on 10th November 2011. Amber with thin whitish head and full light lacing. Malt, caramel and grassy hops in aroma. Rich hoppiness lasts to a finish that satisfies before fruitiness returns late on in the aftertaste.

Cask at the London Brewers Showcase 2011. Pours clear gold with a light, white head. Tons of biscuity malts in the aroma, some corn and dough. Medium sweet flavor, more biscuits, light bread, faint woody bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly sweet finish, more biscuits, some cereal. Very nice, easy-drinking beer.

Cask at the Southampton Arms on 1st November 2011. Dark reddish copper with very little head/lacing. Aroma sweet with berries. Fruity liquid - sweetish berries, some pungency and floral hop. Finish bittersweet but I found bitterness somewhat lacking. Light bodied; mouthfeel smooth, light, watery.

Cask at the London Brewers Showcase 2011. Pours dark red with a foamy, bubbly white head. Toast and ripe fruit on the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor, big toasted malt character, some dark fruits, pumpernickel bread. Some mild, leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Ripe and slightly tangy fruits in the finish, toast, light caramel. Not bad.

Cask at The London Brewers Showcase 2011. Pours clear, pure gold with a foamy, white head. Pleasant bready aroma, slight citrus zest. Lightly sweet flavor, tons of bread, biscuits, sticks and wood, mild bitterness, some leaves, hay and straw. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly dry finish, some toast, straw and hay, light sweetness. Extremely decent beer.
