Bottle @ Papsø. Thanks. Pours unclear dark brown with a small off white creamy head. Nose is sweet of alcohol and chewy malts. Vinous and syrupy. Full bodied. Phat malty flavor with a bit of fruit. Sticky and dry end where the hops kicks in. Nice

22 fl oz bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malt, dark chocolate and distinct wooden hops. Dark roasted malt flavoured, thick and rich dark chocolate. Nice fruity note - both fresh hops and overripe fruit. Smooth mouthfeel. Lasting dark chocolate and overripe fruity flavoured finish. Great.

Bottle from Utobeer, but I have a feeling this was a gift from someone, Tom? Possibly. Russet/amber with thin beige head. I mean yes, it is a bit sweet. Lots of hops on the aroma, but some syrupy sweetness too. A bit of heat and booziness on the finish. Hops are more hot than tasty, but some resin. Pretty tasty to be honest, but there is just a bit of lack of refinement especially on the finish. Yep, pretty solid if too boozy.

Location: 22 oz bottle, 4/16/10

Aroma: Nose is fruit juicy and malty
Appearance: Hazy burnt orange, lacy beige head
Flavor: Somewhat sweet, malty, not much bitterness
Palate: Smooth, low carbonation, light-medium body
Overall Impression: Decent beer, not one of the better things I've ever tried, but this stuff has an OK flavor to it. Rather sweet, and fruity (though I wouldn't have necessarily pegged it as pomegranate without reading the bottle).

An enjoyable DIPA with a nice twist of rye. This is yet another DIPA with a lot of hop flavor. It pours an absolutely beautiful mahogany that just glowed for me. The head is stiff and hearty. It might not quite look like the norm for the style, but it’s a gorgeous beer that, for some reason, transcended style for me. The nose is disappointingly weak for the strength of the head. It’s sweet with some good citric hop aroma. I don’t have much patience for a DIPA with a weak nose. On the other hand, the beer has a marvelous taste. There’s lots of hops, lots of caramel malt and a wonderful rye tone that is fairly unique in my experience. It’s one of the more balanced DIPAs that I’ve had.

12oz bottle from City Beer
Appearance: Slightly hazy amber with a nice fluffy off-white head and lots of lacing left in the glass
Aroma: Sweet caramel, pine and sweet malts
Taste: Silky mouthfeel, pine resin, spices and malt
This is a very nice DIPA. Lots of hops and the malt to back it up. Well balanced, not as sweet as most DIPA’s. The alcohol is very well hidden. This is a great beer.

On cask at the Whole Foods / CCB Cask Event pours amber/brownish, light off-white head. Aroma of rye, bittering hops and mild whiskey barrel. Flavors, thick grainy/rye palate with hints of caramel malts, rye, mild whiskey palate. Finish has hints of bitter citrus hops that blend nicely with the whiskey presence.
