Description

Generation.

Update tap 4 day old from tap at Hopdog Munich: got a light cloudy and smoky fresh version, really good. Vom Holz @ Spezial. Light bitter yeasty fruity nose. Dark yellow cloudy, off-white lace. Bitter hoppy edges, light minerals to balance the fruity chewy malt body perfectly. Süffig.

Dull tan. Quite murky - there are actually yeast strata in this. Very yeasty aroma almost goes in a barnyard direction with its woody accent and orchard fruity elements (peach, pear). Quite fizzy, even for a weissbier. Yeasty palate with hints of apple. Yeasty-dry finish. No smoke!

Bright amber-brown with a thick, rocky head. Lightly smoked aroma with caramel, toffee malts. Fairly full body. Sweet Munich malts and a light smokey accent. Soft finish with a light woody dryness. I greatly prefer this to the regular smoked lager and wish this came from the barrel instead (esp at the Keller).
