Dark golden colour. Very malty and peppery aroma and flavour. Big beer, very nice. Aftertaste OK, but not perfect(?).

Bottle: Poured a hazy medium brown ale with a huge head with great retention. Aroma is mix between spices, great malt and strong yeast. Carbonation is excellent and body is above average. Very sweet taste (probably a tad too much) with some subtle raisins in the background. Yeast is very present and may hides a bit of overall taste of this. Alcohol is not detectable which I always appreciate from brewers. Great for the style but still not up there with the greats (Westy, Rochefort, St-Bernadus).

Thanks to fattyre for bringing this to the SE Gathering at KP’s! Muddy cherry brown color with no head. Sour aroma that had a faint fish touch to it. The flavor was slightly sour and Belgian, while also being malty and Bock like. Lightly fizzy palate. Average Belgian, terrible Bock.

Bottled 330ml (BB 06/2006)
Hazy golden with enormous white lacy head. Tripel aroma with yeast, lemon, orange peel and banana. Citrusy, very carbonated mouthfeel. Alcohol is quite present but is not burning. Dry, hoppy aftertaste, warming alcoholic kick. This is a good example of Belgium triple - not maybe world class but .. a good example.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. (6.5%) Ruby colour. Roasty and raisiny. Sweet with rounded mouthfeel. Well structured malt prfile, notes of toffee and typical Urbock character (like Namibian Hansa Urbock or Aass) Grassy bitter finish. Pleasant and very well balanced.

Bottle POurs a clear light orange witha busy fizzy offwhite head. Aromas are musty spicy and yeasty. Flavors are some of the classic begian yeast and spice. The ABV is there but hidden well for 11+%. Feel is a bit chalky and the finish is quick and slightly dry. Carbonation is quite lively. Fizzy even. YTastes more like a belgian strong than a BW. Not bad.

Amber color; huge head. A truly Belgian Ale, good nutty malt, a lot of caramel, good bitter balance, some sweetness (the aroma is sweet as well) and an almost un-perceptible touch of sourness.

This one was from the bottle, refermented at 7.5 % ABV, whereas the usual, draught beer levels below 6.5% Very dark red, at the "end of the spectrum"; yellow-brownish small but stable head. Sweet, heavy dark malts nose with liquorice, nuts and raisins - not too sweet though. Bready, sweet taste, some malts but not bitter. A good whiff of lactic too, persistent in the aftertaste. Well-bodied, slick but not chewy. Good Bock - true to style, which is more than rare in Belgium.

2004 draught @ Redbones. Pours a light coppery-gold, with little to no head. Aroma has some white wine notes, yellow grapes, lightly sour yeast and almost a sweet/cidery aroma. Flavor is a mix of yellow fruits (nectarines, ripe pears, mangos, white grapes) with some sweeter malt notes. Hints of belgian yeast keep this quite interesting. Medium to medium-full body, soft fuzzy texture.
