(On tap) Hazy dark amber golden with a rough off-white head. Very fruity nose. Quite full-bodied and a little low in carbonation. Sweetish and very fruity with a subdued bitterness. Nice and drinkable. 120908

Bottle 75 cl. Comes as "De Molen Borefts Turf Bock 2008". Pours very cloudy and opaque orangey brown with a dense and creamy beige head leaving some lacework. Aroma of roasted malt. Medium body, sweetish roasted malt but quite surprisingly also burned malts and an ashy edge. The finish is dry with a slightly ashy malt bitterness. A very atypical Bock. 241208
(On tap) Hazy, muddy golden with a rough off-white head. Malty aroma with some alcohol. Medium body with sweetish roasted malt but appears a little tired on my palate. Dry and lightly bitter finish. For once a disappointing De Molen.6/2/6/3/11=2.8 120908

(On tap) Completely opaque black with a small rough light brown head. Fat aroma of hard roasted malt, prunes and a discreet whiff of smoke. Quite full-bodied with very sweet burned malts, dried fruit and again a warming alcoholic finish with a lightly burned ashy malt bitterness. Lovely. 120908

(Cask) Clear dark brown with a warm reddish hue and a rough, off-white head. Piquant, lightly tart and vinous aroma - not really much of a malty feel. Not overly full-bodied and a little low in carbonation, some hard roasted maltiness but again very piquant and lightly tart. Subdued bitterness and a very warming alcohol in the finish. Very delicious - the wine barrel really did wonders to this one 120908

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a dense off-white head leaving laces. Aroma of yeast and burned caramel and some fruit. Quite full-bodied with sweetish burned caramel and fruit and an astrigently bitter finish. An Irish Ale at 9.5% ABV?? - well, that’s a first. 230808

Bottled, courtesy of NoiZe. Much appreciated! Dark brown colour, tiny off-white head. Aroma has sour fruits and roasted malts. Flavour has liquorice, oak and red fruits. Nice bitter-sweetness, endless finish. Excellent beer! Rerate: heavy and sour flavours. Too much going on in this beer. Didnt quite work for me this time. -0.6

Golden colour, firm white head. Aroma has yeast, citrus and some hops. Flavour is grainy and hoppy. Finishes bitter dry. Another decent beer from De Molen
