Black with tiny beige short lasting head. Sweet aroma with loads of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and a bit of smoke. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, smoke and alcohol notes. Low carbonated.

Hazy amber with huge off white head. Sweet yeasty aroma with ripe fruits and caramel notes. Swet yeasty flavour with ripe fruits, caramel and warming alcohol towards the end.

Pours deep gold into a trappist glass. Bright white head with excellent retention leave spot lacing. Orange and hop aromas. Full with a sweet candi and medicine front, a peppery middle and a lasting dry bitter hop finish. Similar to a tripel IPA.

Bottle thanks to Hugh at GBBF. Black colour. Smoky, almost Islay cassk TCP aroma, although really it is just very peaty. Really good base beer, lovely and full in mouth, lovely dark malts, but there is that peaty flavour on aroma and finish, which anyone who knows me will know I am not a big fan of. Base beer is superb.
