37,5 cl bottle, 9% alcohol. Hazy dark golden/amber color, with a nice big white head. Aroma is caramel, citrus, moderately spicy. Taste is spicy, licorice, just a bit sour, even honey, but absolutely not sweet, actually it is very dry. Soft carbonation, alcohol well hidden, but later you can feel it. I expected more lambic sourness, instead it's a very balanced beer. Really interesting. Nice.

33 cl bottle from the old Sam's Wines, 2009. Date notch 2006. Another beer I probably should have pulled from the cellar many years ago. Ah, well. Nose on this does have the slightly medicinal smell of an aged, malty beer. No spoilage. But a note of plum and raisin that's kind of nice. Color is brown to brassy, with just a light ring of foam around the rim. Taste is malty, just a little fruity, pretty good. Slight note of maple syrup. But the mouthfeel comes across a little bit thin. Perhaps that's what's kept this from coming out as oxidized. Altogether, it's middlin' for an old beer, but maybe should have held on to a bit more character.

Poslodzone winogrona z sianem. Lambik na slodko taki troche wyszedl. Moze powinno polezec? Ale calkiem spoko, smaczne, 3.6?

500ml bottle (2006 / 11.5%) @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Feb '19. Pours misty golden copper, small foamy white head. Funky wild lambic nose. Taste is extremely light, wild with a teasing brown sugar caramel linger, wild foraged herbs, woody. Seems to have held up remarkably well over the last 13 years. Excellent complexity.

Old rating, @ Demevallei, Aarschot. Hazy brown colour, beige foam. Sweet plums, chocolate, some anise. Rather tasty brown beer.

Hazy medium amber colour, small frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma sweet malt, overripe apple and pear, treacle, caramel. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, caramel, bit fruity, alcohol notes. Sweetbitter aftertaste, earthy and spicy notes, medium body, oily texture, sharp carbonation, rustic country ale, very nice.

2017 bottle. 9%. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. Slow gusher. Clear gold. Huge head settles to a dense foam. Good looker. Nose has apple pie. Wheaty grain. Bit of new leather. Sweet oak. Taste is unripe apple tart, with some grainy sweetness. Medium body. Foamy, burp inducing carbonation. Some acidity. A little drying, too. Tart apple bitterness to finish. Heavy duty gear.
