Description
La Brasserie de la Mule est un projet de production de bières issues d'ingrédients biologiques en plein cœur du quartier historique de Schaerbeek.

De oprichter is de Duitser Joël Galy en de brouwerij maakt dan ook vooral bieren in Duitse stijl. Het heet Brasserie de la Mule omdat de ezel het symbool is van Schaarbeek en een ezel en een paard een muilezel voortbrengen.

Turbia de color miel, entre dorada y ambar. Espuma poco abundante y nada duradera. No deja nada de película. Intenso aroma a plátano. En boca es ligera, oleosa, algo aguada, falta de gas. Pero rico sabor malteado, con claro predominio de plátano y alguna nota especiada.

Can at home. Hazy pale yellow. Lemon, lemon balm, wheat, minty, dry herbs, lime leaves, zesty, gooseberries. Over light sweet and sour. Medium bodied. Tasty!

33cl can, BB 13/2026. Une collaboration avec le Domaine W à Saintes - je pense que le cépage avait aussi été utilisé par Tilquin.
Couleur rosée léger, col fin blanc rosâtre.
Arôme est sur une approche fruitée mesurée - je note plus le côté fruits rouges / baies avec un retrait d'un effet raisin infusé presque de marc. Le tout conserve cependant une approche plus allemande avec notamment un apport d'esters fruités.
Palais est finement fruité avec un caractère rappelant un peu la framboise, baies rouges et bleues de myrtille avec une petite note d'ester de banane - effet levure allemande? je note aussi un effet un peu terreux pouvant rappelant une rhubarbe fraîche. Se boit comme un petnat rosé.

Can at home. Slight hazy light golden with lasting white head. Sweet malts, quite floral, roses, lemon balm, light spicy yeast with cloves and allspice. Medium sweet, light bitter.
Medium bodied. Seems like it's infused with some herbs almost, interesting.

Pretty cloudy rusty red beer, small creamy white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: banana, a bit yeasty, some raspberries, sourish impression, very fruity, pleasant, a bit funky. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sourish, yeasty, banana, a little bitter, grains, some tannins, grapeskin, a hint of raspberries, grapes, good! Aftertaste: some tannins, dry, a bit sourish.

Little cloudy light yellow beer, small aery irregular white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: a bit malty, some citrus, a little grassy, fruity touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of citrus, good bitterness, grassy, nice, refreshing, a little malty. Aftertaste: hoppy, a bit resinous, grassy, good lager!

On tap at Chaff Brussels Thursday 5th June 2025, after journey from Nürnberg this morning via ICE. Pours hazy gold with a large white head. Soft mouthfeel, nicely bitter, wheaty and with a good punchiness. Like this.

Can. Clear ruby, small head. Sour grains, soft grapes, sweet berries, wheat, light herbal. Indeed like a mix between wine and Berliner, but quite boand ones... Medium sour, light sweet. Over light bodied.

F: big, pink, good retention.
C: reddish, light hazy.
A: light sour fruity, red berries, grapes, mineral, cherries touch.
T: medium malty base, light sour strawberries, red currants, grapes, bit mineral and lactic, medium carbonation, nice, refreshing, enjoyed.
