Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a dark reddish brown with small beige head. Aroma of light roast malt, blackcurrant, chocolate, treacle. Taste is sweet with notes of treacle, tart berries, coffee, caramel, moderate bitterness in the finish. Smooth medium to smooth body. Lovely moreish beer.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. Clear brown with moderate sized beige head. Aroma of metal, caramel, raisins. Taste again has that metallic note with light roast, caramel, chocolate, raisins, modest bitterness. Smooth body, soft light zingy carbonation.

500ml bottle from Noz, Hazebrouck. Relatively clear golden appearance, white collar of foam. Honeyed malt impressions on the nose. Continues to taste alongside a doughy caramelised sweetness, distant herbal notes. Decent maibock.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 27 Sep 2024) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, clean nose with bread, grass and herbs. Malty taste with notes of bread, honey, a touch of citrus, grass, herbs and a mild herbalbbitterness. medium body, with abtouch of sweetness. Clean and crisp. Nice one.

Color marrón rojizo oscuro translúcido, corona de espuma beige claro, compacta, abundante y de gran duración y adherencia. Aroma a maltas tostadas, caramelo, hierba seca, dátiles, pan tostado, con ciertas nota ,mineral, terrosa y amaderada. En boca el trago es redondo, con un dulzor de entrada algo acaramelado donde destacan las notas de malta, pan negro, fruta pasificada y unas gotitas de melaza, acabando en un final moderadamente amargo, herbal, terroso y adornado con matices de madera. 500ml bottle as Weltenburger Spezial Festbier, kindly shared by Finn. Fair white head over a clear late straw coloured body. Prominent pale malty aromas with a note of bread and herbs. Cereal malty taste, hints of white bread and distant spices. Rounded, mid-sweet malty ending. Medium bodied. Clean on the swallow. Satisfying. (Tromsø, 06.12.2024).
