On tap at Bar Volo, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out some thin tart vinous notes above anything. Flavour tastes infected, with notes of diacytel, red wine notes, and not really any impie stout notes. Something wrong with this. Infected. Drain pour.

Bottle: Poured a dirty cloudy beige color male with a nice huge white foamy head with great retention and some very good lacing. Aroma consists of light rustic flavours with some light yeasty and bready notes. Taste is dominated by quite a peppery yeasty punch with some rustic malt flavours with light hay notes. Body is full with great bottle conditioning and some strong carbonation. Very enjoyable and easily drinkable with nice spicy and peppery notes.

This ale poured a deep amber colour with a big, fat light tan head. Scents include ripe fruit, coriander spice, cloves and light malt. First swig was quite carbonated with a very fizzy mouthfeel and flavours of cloves, coriander malt and wheat. Remindes me of a more malty version of a wheat beer. Finish is malty with a lingering clove/coriander flavor.

Single bottle from the LCBO, brown, wine-looking with a cork, cage and nice flag label around neck. Pours a hazy golden-yellow colour with a frothy white head, lots of retention and foamy lacing. Beautiful nose of Belgian Ale yeast, spices, oranges, wheat, apples and mild grass. Crisp refreshing mouthfeel with just a tad of dryness. Wheat taste with some peach notes and the grass counter-balancing. Quite a nice saison and my first from this brewery. Really hoping we can try some more from them.

This Porter poured a deep dark amber colour with a beautiful, tan coloured, creamy head. Scents of caramel, light coffee, nuts and a small amount of cocoa. First sip was delicious with flavours of roasted caramel, coffee, nuts and very light cocoa. Mouthfeel is a little weak but very flavourful. Finish is malty with flavours of caramel lingering.

Very interesting. Light sour with medium bretta. Tastes more like a sour or wild than a berliner weisse really. Pours black with good head and lacing. Some crisp cracker and hay aromas. Finishes a little sour, a little bitter. On draft at Volo for Zwanze Day.
