Description
Burton Bridge Brewery is a traditional style brewery that produces a wide range of beers.

We have stillaging and cooling equipment, will organise a selection of beers for you to approve and set it all up

For something a little different ask if we have our vintage Morris dray available. It has been on display at festivals and was used as a hearse for a funeral.

Mid-2024 the ownership of the Burton Bridge brewery has changed hands in a merger which also ensures the future of the town’s Heritage brewery.

The deal sees Burton Bridge come under the umbrella of leisure company Planning Solutions, which previously ran the National Brewery Centre in Burton, prior to Molson Coors’ decision to close it.

Dark color. Very good stout, good mix of dry coffee and malt sweetness; good texture, smooth. Long final. I can’t detect the fruits, but very good anyway! Excellent stout.

Cloudy brown pour with immense, frothy head - dough, yeasty aroma - very dry, tart, with hints of banana and clove - bitter in the finish, and not much else - very out of balance.

Cloudy dark amber color; creamy head, dark and light shades, like a cappuccino. Well malty, sweet, warming. Not very complex, but enjoyable.

Bottle: Poured a dark, but not completely black as expected, colored beer with a nice huge head with good retention. Aroma is mix of sweetness resembling port and some alcohol. Carbonation is good and body is quite thin with what I usually expect from a porter. Taste is light roastiness and coffee and more malts then expected. Overall, this is a very unusual porter but a very enjoyable beer.

Cloudy brown, large slightly rocky beige head.Winey fruity nose.Intitially nothing, then some light malt with a strange bitter end. None of the sourness noted by others is evident. This really isn't a Porter. I don't care for this, but thanks Cap!!!

Murky dark beer with slight bitter chocolate nose. Roasted malt in mouth with a an astringence which is unpleasant. Almost metaliic, like liking a iron fence post. Sourness seems to indicate the beer may be off, whcih has been stated many times for this beer in ON.

Dark amber color. Light aroma. Good caramel body, dry roasted malt, strong character. Strong bitterness. With some more fruitness it would be…
Thanks Jens (Ungstrup).

This porter pours a cloudy reddish orange. The scents include cider vineger with a strong doughy smell. A small amount of citrus notes too. Initial taste was kind of watery with smoke notes. Strong yeast flavours. There is some kind of a spicy taste to this beer but I can't put my finger on it. Bitter palate lasts and lasts...

The aroma is sweet dominated by brambleberries. The color is black and it has a beutiful light brown head. The flavor is dominated by burnt and brambleberry flavors. It has a very dry end. A very good beer.
