From a 16 oz. can purchase somewhere in Maine 6 weeks ago. Canning date on the bottom is 9/16/16, so pushing 4 months old. Pours a clear hazy gold with a thick off white head. Feint hop aroma. Flavors of grass and pine with some caramel. Very smooth, and pretty tasty despite the hops being largely absent. I hope to have a chance of tasting a fresh one of these.

Pours deep cloudy amber into a tulip. Off-white soapy head with medium retention recedes to mottle surface. Toffee, oak and pit fruit aromas. Thick with dry oak, dark pit fruit and caramel front to back and into the lasting hot toffee burn finish.

375 ml bottle, 2016 Vintage purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions, Kittery. Great clarity in a Amber color liquid. Aroma is bold dark fruits, (raisins, prune, figs) and just a hint of oak.

Wow, real nice blend here. The oak is subtle compared to the dark fruit flavors. The over 10% alcohol content is hidden almost totally. Gives just a slight warming of the belly after the swallow. Good body with a slick and slightly sticky texture. As sweet as it maybe, it never gets cloying. Very well executed.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a nice, three centimetre tall off-white head and a bunch of bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of pungent grassy, herbal and resinous hops - very nice and fragrant. Light-bodied; Strong grassy, piney, tropical fruity and floral hop flavours show through with some nice and very subdued bitterness with a very easy-to-drink mellow malty and light body. Aftertaste shows the grass, hay, floral notes and light hoppiness without a deep pungency or any funky maltiness at all - very nice and subdued throughout. Overall, a good and flavourful Light iPA that has been categorised in the wrong style, but this turns out to be a good beer that would be perfect for the summer or any oppressive time. I sampled this pint sized can purchased from Hannaford in Portland, Maine on 30-July-2016 for US$9,99/six pack, sampled at home in Washington on 12-November-2016.

Draught at the brewery, 10/21/16.
Dark, cola-brown body shows good clarity and a light tan head with moderate retention.
Vanilla, rich, earthy coffee notes and lots of oily, dark chocolate in the nose make for quite a strong aroma. No alcohol or flaw, with light caramel/toffee suggestions and a bit of base malt for balance. Roasted bitterness/acidity eases up on the end, as the fruitiness, chocolate, plum and cherry from the coffee takes over, quite enjoyably so.
Medium-bodied with good attenuation, light chocolate-caramel sweetness and lots of earthy, fruity, rich coffee notes. Light vanilla, more caramel and lingering earthiness. Soft, malty-sweet texture with low carbonation and no alcohol or flaw.

Draught at the brewery, 10/21/16.
Clear amber with a medium-sized, beige head showing moderate retention.
Big caramel, raisin and vanilla notes in the nose are dotted with boisterous fruits from the melanoidins, a hint of coffee and lots of strong citrus character. Candied oranges, light pine and such, but it’s easily balanced by the rich malts. The base malts are amply used and don’t allow the specialty malts to come across as overly dry or grainy. No alcohol or flaw.
Rich and moderately sweet, but still appropriately attenuated, the beer has a good complexity. For once, I think a brewer has used quite a number of specialty grains to good use, not just gratuitously. Lovely fruitiness from the melanoidin malt with caramel and honey, as well. Balancing bitterness, but not resinous, thankfully. No alcohol or flaw.
