From cask at Cock Tavern. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild peachy and lingering fruity. Vegetables, herbal and honey. Bitter, spiced and herbal into the dry finish. Bone dry finish.

From cask at Cock Tavern. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Aroma is toasted malty, breadish and caramelish. Bitter, toasted malty and toffee. Mild hoppy fruity. Bitter and floral finish.

Cask at the Cock Tavern - Hackney, London. Pours hazy gold with a faint, white cream head. Simple pale mat nose, some tangy citrus. Light sweet flavor, more tangy citrus, touches of apple. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light bready sweetness to finish, more tangy citrus and ripening apple. Very ho hum.

Cask at George, Croydon. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is earth, cheese, mustiness, manure, wood, varnish and light spice. The taste is earth, toast, wood, spice, caramel, varnish, biscuit, touch of cheddar and light alcohol bite with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Probably my least favourite out of the series so far. Tastes decent, I’m just not enamoured by the smell...

Cask at the White Horse on Parsons Green - London. Pours clear gold with a slight, foamy white head. Jammy orange and tangerine in the nose, some dry grass. Light to medium sweet flavor, marmalade, more orange, tangerine, light sweat, sticky grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky, lightly resinous finish, more jammy citrus and marmalade, moderate pine needles and grass bitterness, a but of rindy citrus, light boozy warmth. So so.

Cask at the CPFC beer festival. Light amber pour with a white head. Citrus and marzipan aroma. Fresh citrus taste. Quite nice.

Gravity at the CPFC beer festival, 2013. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Christ I’ve got to enter the digital rating world when I’m out and about, my writing’s atrocious! Seemingly the aroma is toffee, dark plums?? or is it chocolate? has to be chocolate. Can’t cope with this shorthand. Flavours of coffee and chocolate. Quite a sweet little number. Dry finish. Not too bad.

Cask at CPBF 2013. It pours hazy golden yellow with a medium bubbly white head. The nose is lemon, key lime pie, earth, apple and wood. The taste is pine, good bitterness, pithy citrus, grapefruit, soap, nettles, light astringency and varnish with a dry, rather bitter finish. Medium body, soft carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Nice bitterness, but prefer the galaxy version.

Cask at the Rake - London. Pours mostly clear gold with a fine, fluffy white head. Dry hay on the nose with pale and lightly grainy malts, some dry lemon. Light to medium sweet flavor with mild bitter hay, some faint juicy lemon, citrus rind, mellow biscuits. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Lightly sticky citrus to finish, mildly jammy, with light grass and hay and biscuity pale malts. Good.

Cask at the Rake - London. Pours clear gold with a faint, white cream head. Good snout, some tropical fruits, grapefruit, light pine. Medium sweet flavor, well and juicy, with faint pine and dirty grass, hints of alcohol. Medium bodied with soft to fine carbonation. Moderately resinous to finish with lots more juicy citrus, grapefruit, melon, papaya and pineapple. A very tasty IPA. With better condition this would be quite impressive.
