(Cask at Union Tavern, Westbourne Park, London, 26 Apr 2013) Pale amber colour with brief, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of apricots, citrus and biscuity malt. Malty, fruity taste with orange, apricots, marmalade and a certain citric bitterness in the finish. Light body, with balanced sweetness. Refreshing and quite nice.

Cask at Half & Half, Croydon. It pours clear golden amber with a medium white head. The nose is very pungent indeed.... farmyard, earthy, cat litter, mature cheddar, gorgonzola and raclette. The taste is smooth, earth, hay, moderate bitterness, tangerine, orange, varnish and some cheddar in the background with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Nice level of bitterness, but the cheesiness is a turn-off.....

Cask at Green Dragon, Croydon. It pours golden with a medium white head. The nose is sweet lime, grapefruit, pissy, creaminess and hay. The taste is lemon, grapefruit, zesty, orange, pine, assertive bitterness, straw, touch of alcohol and resin with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Rather tasty and I’m happy to see that Cronx has cranked up the bitterness to a new high. Their best beer to date.

Mild porter despite the strength which is hidden in its texture. Black with no head and a deeper aroma than taste. Manages to be crisp but is a little dry in its aftertaste.

On gravity at the London Drinker beer festival 6/3/2013. Amber with a slight, off-white head. Touch of hedgerow fruit and some cereal malts leading to a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Cask in the Goodmans Fields Spoons.Clear dark red - brown beer. Short pale tan head. Smooth and slightly dry palate. Somewhat insipid dark malt, very mild. A little tangy chocolate. Semi dry finish. Drinkable but pretty dull and a pint was more than enough.

Cask at the Coronet, JDW, London. Pours clear gold wth a substantial, white foam head. Sunkissed pale malt nose, hints of dry lemon and tangerine. Lught sweet flavor, some pale and sry dough, rindy lemon, faint biscuits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Good condition. Light dryness in the finish, some pleasant lemon notes, dry biscuits and hay. Very nicelt balanced golden ale.

Cask at Baxter’s Court, JDW, London. Pours clear, dark brown with a tight, tan cream cap. Toasty toffee and brown bread on the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor, brown bread, more toffee, some toasty brown sugar, hints of dark berries and charred wood. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with more toasted toffee, bready malts, some dried out dark fruits. Tasty porter.

Cask handpull at Rake. Deep ruby no head. Choc aroma. Chilli comes through. Not massive chilli. Sweetness of choc is good. Pretty decent. Interesting
