Clean golden-amber colour with a slight unfiltered tiny particles floating around. The head is big frothy, bubbly, a little off-white with decent stay and some thick soapy lacing. Bitter nose with the pine needles and grapefruit hop notes. The mouthfeel is wet, and gets to become dry in the finish, building a bit more. The taste has orange zest, some grapefruit hints and grassiness. Gets hazier as it pours with the bigger particles. Still, lots of citrus action in here, but a nice West Coast that brings it back for those tired of the juicy ones.

L’aromatique se veut de céréales fraiches et de houblon herbacé avec notes de pain frais. De couleur dorée et très limpide, elle développe une petite mousse qui tient assez peu. En bouche, on sent bien les céréales et le pain mais je les trouve en manque de maturité. Une légère touche miellée s’immisce également. Les houblons herbacés manquent également de punch. Dominantes notes de pamplemousse, un soupçon d’orange, un fond de malt biscuité et une trace de résine houblonnière se marient pour nous donner un olfactif tout à fait typique de ce style. Le liquide est ambré et assez limpide. La mousse de taille moyenne est assez persistante. Le pamplemousse revient et s’impose en entrée de bouche laissant cependant rapidement la place à une amertume puissante de résine ‘’grassy’’ qui persiste longuement en finale. Le malt est plutôt biscuité et légèrement caramélisé mais demeure très faible dans l’ensemble. La corpulence est plutôt moyenne et on y décèle une légère astringence en fin de bouche. Hazy golden colour with an amber hue. The white, frothy head has good retention and leaves some foamy lacing. Citrus zest aromas from lemon and orange notes. Juicy mouthfeel with some decent drying in the finish, but not overly. Orange juice taste with the fruitiness tamed by the lemon zest. Goes down very smoothly. Particles fall through in the end. A really nice juicy DDH IPA.

Can: Poured a black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral espresso notes with some black chocolate notes. Taste is a mix of floral espresso notes with light bitterness with some black chocolate notes and light lactose notes with hints of residual; sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol notes. Enjoyable coffee based stout with light pastry notes.

Bottle: Poured a clear dark golden color ale with a medium size white foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of bitter and citrusy hops notes with light malt notes also perceptible. Taste is a mix of grainy malt notes with some citrusy and bitter hops notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Old school style IPA.
